EM2000H Differential Pressure Gauge Value Frozen or Unable to Zero? Don’t Worry! Fix It Easily in Two Steps

July 25, 2026

Introduction

Have you ever encountered this frustrating issue when using the ELECALL EM2000H intelligent differential pressure gauge?

After powering on, the displayed value remains fixed at a certain number and does not change. Even after completely releasing the pressure in the pipeline, the reading stays the same. Holding down the zero calibration button also seems to have no response? 😩

Recently, our after-sales service team received several similar customer feedback cases. After careful inspection and analysis by our technical engineers, we found the root cause of the problem. The good news is that there is no need to send the device back for repair — you can solve it yourself in just a few minutes!

Today, we are sharing this practical troubleshooting guide with you. Save it for future reference!

First, Understand What Causes the Problem

First of all, don’t worry: after inspection, the affected units showed no hardware damage and no software bugs. The issue was simply caused by incorrect parameter settings.

During operation, some users may accidentally modify the HI and LO upper/lower range parameters inside the gauge. These two parameters are the key references used by the instrument to calculate pressure values.

Once these parameters no longer match the standard measuring range shown on the product nameplate, the zero-point reference of the gauge becomes inaccurate. In this case, pressing the zero calibration button repeatedly will not solve the problem, and the displayed value may remain frozen.

For example:

If your differential pressure gauge has a 0~5000Pa unidirectional measuring range, but the HI parameter is accidentally changed to 10000 and LO is changed to 500, the instrument will calculate pressure based on the incorrect range.

Even when the pipeline pressure returns to atmospheric pressure, the gauge cannot correctly recognize the zero point, causing the reading to remain unchanged.

Key Point! Two Solutions Even Beginners Can Handle

Solution 1 Simple and Accurate Parameter Check Method (Recommended)

Suitable for:

Users who suspect the wrong parameters were modified and want to quickly correct them without restoring factory settings.

Follow these simple steps:

1. First, release all pressure from the pipeline and make sure the gauge is in a zero-pressure condition.

    2. Press and hold the ▼ down button for 6 seconds to perform zero calibration.

If the value still does not change, continue with the following steps.

    3. Enter the instrument SET menu and find the following two parameters:

    • HI (Upper Limit)
    • LO (Lower Limit)

    4. Check the product nameplate and restore the correct measuring range.

    Common examples:

    • 0~5000Pa unidirectional range:
      Set HI = 5000, LO = 0
    • ±30Pa bidirectional range:
      Set HI = 30, LO = -30

    5. Press the SET button to save the parameters, then press and hold the ▼ button for 6 seconds again to complete zero calibration.

(Important: Make sure the pipeline is at atmospheric pressure before calibration.)

The gauge should now return to normal operation.

Solution 2 Easy Reset Method (When Parameters Are Completely Incorrect)

    Suitable for:

Users who are unsure which parameters have been modified or find multiple menu settings incorrect.

    Simply restore the factory settings:

    1. Release the pipeline pressure to atmospheric pressure.

Enter the SET menu and find the option:

    “fds – Restore Factory Settings”

    2. Enter password:

    555555

    Confirm the reset operation.

    3. After resetting, enter the menu again and locate the HI and LO parameters.

Set them according to the measuring range shown on the product nameplate.

    4. Press the SET button to save the settings and return to the measurement interface.

    5. Press and hold the ▼ button for 6 seconds to perform zero calibration.

(Remember: calibration must be performed under zero-pressure conditions.)

Finally, apply pressure and check whether the displayed value matches the actual pressure.

    The troubleshooting process is complete!

    Troubleshooting Summary & Important Tips

All the cases mentioned above were caused by incorrect modification of the HI and LO measuring range parameters.

Once the parameters are restored to the correct values and zero calibration is performed, the gauge can return to normal operation without factory repair.

During daily use, avoid modifying key instrument parameters unless necessary.

If adjustments are required, always refer to the measuring range shown on the product nameplate to prevent abnormal readings.

Before performing zero calibration, always make sure the pipeline pressure has been completely released.

    Otherwise, zero calibration may fail.

    Conclusion

The operation of the EM2000H intelligent differential pressure gauge is actually very simple. Many common issues are caused by incorrect settings rather than product failures.

Next time you encounter problems such as a frozen reading or failed zero calibration, don’t panic. Follow the steps above, and in most cases the problem can be solved quickly.
